Designing
my way in
A graphic design experiment disguised as my hunt for part-time jobs. Scroll on to see how I used my design knowledge to convince strangers to hire me.
The Problem
Looking for part-time work here usually means handing out your CV in cafés and bars.
But sometimes a job lead shows up at a party, on the street, or through someone random you just met.
And in those moments, pulling out a full kitchen CV feels… weird.
So I made something better: small, memorable cards I can hand out or leave behind anywhere.
Because you never know where the next lead will come from.
The Solution
To solve this, I designed small, memorable business-card–style leave-behinds, one for kitchen jobs and one for bar roles. Instead of handing over a full résumé at a party or a crowded bar, these cards make the interaction quick, friendly, and instantly clear.
They communicate who I am, what I’m looking for, and how to reach me without feeling formal or awkward.
It’s practical, portable, and a little bit delightful.
